Anchored Dreams

Business Presentations Commitment Fortitude
“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.”
– English Proverb

Business pressures have a way of pushing us in more than one direction at the same time. To survive in a sea of change you need commitment and fortitude. The ability to stay calm and make good decisions in times of trouble is key. “That’s what got us into meditation,” George Harrison said, “it’s like being a little cork; like being a ship on the ocean at the mercy of whatever chopping or changing occurs—unless you’re anchored to the bottom.”

For stability, anchor your dreams to the bedrock of your vision.

– D. Grant

Happy Birthday America

Star Spangled Banner 4th of July 1776
“A people… who are possessed of the spirit of commerce,
who see and who will pursue their advantages may achieve almost anything.”
– George Washington.

On the shore dimly seen thro’ the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
‘T is the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
