Imagery and Design
Pictures are words loaded with emotion. Some designs are meant to engage. Others have to persuade. The right image at the right moment does both.

"Mercy"
by Rita Dove

An absolute sound, this soughing above the tops of trees. For the longest while I couldn't look up, so much did I long to see the ocean, rough and whitened.
Such soft ululations, such a drumroll of feathers! Yet it was no other weather than Wind. I looked up; the sky lay blue as always, Biblical and terrifying, just where it was supposed to be.
We encourage you all to view Steve Jobs 2005 commencement address at Stanford University in its entirety. Three stories in fifteen minutes may just inspire a lifetime.

Anchored Dreams in a Sea of Change
|
|
Business pressures have a way of pushing us in more than one direction at the same time. To survive in a sea of change you need commitment and fortitude. The ability to stay calm and make good decisions in times of trouble is key. “That’s what got us into meditation,” George Harrison said, “it’s like being a little cork; like being a ship on the ocean at the mercy of whatever chopping or changing occurs---unless you're anchored to the bottom."

Happy Birthday America!!!

On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream: 'T is the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
